Second Series!!!

2006 season

Postby Lindy on Sat Dec 16, 2006 9:04 pm

May I just say WOO followed by a big HOO!!!!

From the Aussie Sunday Telegraph...

MARK Latham wearing lycra on prime-time TV is unthinkable, but the pugnacious former politician is being offered hundreds of thousands of dollars to show his moves on Channel 7's Dancing With The Stars.

......

Nine's rival show, Dancing On Ice, will also return next year.

Its debut program helped to steal viewers from Seven by introducing a copycat version of the celebrity dance competition.

*Attempts cartwheel, realises back doesn't bend that way anymore, and claps in dignified fashion instead*

This could become an annual pilgrimage!

Assuming that a second series will come off, I guess after the Tour here, they will be heading back to Aus to prepare for the show? That doesn't leave much time for training if a 3rd series comes off in the UK if it starts in January again.....

I do hope none of it is cancelled

We met Karen Barber after one of the tour shows, and asked if they were doing an Aussie Dancing on Ice series. She said no as they needed a well deserved break.

I've just read this

Dancing on Ice is a British television show, in which celebrities and their professional partners dance on ice in front of a panel of judges. The format, devised by ITV Productions, has been a prime-time hit in 8 different countries including Australia (where it is titled Torvill and Dean's Dancing on Ice and was axed after just one series), Germany and Belgium.

So there won't be another series next year by the looks of it
